ASIAN'S FASHION FUTURE

Top 12 Finalist Fighting for the only top 3 spots and will walk away with 

$10,000, A one-year internship with leading fashion retailer F J Benjamin

and the chance to launch their maiden capsule collections at Audi Star Creation 2014.

Only ONE with the collections that portrays Audi's design spirit of innovation, technology and progression

will also receive the Audi Young Designer Award (AYDA) with an additional cash prize of $10,000!

HOW EXCITING!

Received a media invitation and attended the show last Monday, 

Was super impressed by the creativity of the designers! What makes it more interesting is that

 all of them are from different countries and have different cultures. 

2 from Vietnam, 1 from Thailand, 2 from Singapore, 2 from South Korea, 2 from Malaysia, 1 japan,

1 China and 1 Mongolia. Each of the designers has their own unique designs, Some of them were

 inspired from their own cultures, some architecture and some of them were 

merging music and fashion together.

Designer: Haziq Putra, 21 SINGAPORE
Collection: Pursuit To Freedom
Inspired by a trip to Kelantan 

Designer: Vu Ta Linh, 26 VIETNAM
Collection: The Contour
Fascinated by the traditions and heritage of Vietnam.

Name: Sun Yi Jin, 24 CHINA
Collection: Return
Shapes of traditional Chinese outfits and the historical colours of her homeland.

Name: Kentaro Fujiki, 26 JAPAN
Collection: Super Flying Boy
Learnt everything he knew about music and fashion from the teenage
 boys he grew up with in his home town.

Name: Batmunkh Uugantuya, 21 MONGOLIA
Collection: Harmony Of Elements
A photograph she took of a rock formation in her
native Mongolia was the spark of her collections.

Ham Yu Lan, 24 KOREA
Collection: The Beautiful Connection Of Asia
Inspired by the traditional ornamental knots in Korea.

Name: Ngo Hoang Kha, 20 VIETNAM
Collection: Conservative Entity
Was largely inspired by the mass games that kick off the
annual North Korean Arirang Festival.

Name: Felix Nai, 20 SINGAPORE
Collection: Ephemeral Awakening
Is based on the brief moment between sleep and wakefulness.
When thoughts are blurry and out-of-focus.

Name: Ji Eun Sung, 33 KOREA
Collection: Upbeat Sound Of Samul Nori
She draws inspiration from the things she has seen and
experienced living in Seoul and New York.

Name: Andrew Low, 22 MALAYSIA
Collection: Modern Conservative
Is aimed at those who hold tradition and values dearly.
He projects both masculinity and femininity through fabric play. 

Name: Jean Teoh, 23 MALAYSIA
Collection: Resonance
Based on vibrations and stay true to this idea.
She draws on techniques such as pleating, knitting and layering.

Name: Chatree Maneerat, 22 THAILAND
Collection: The Beauty Of Wind
Inspiration from the ubiquitous handheld Chinese wooden fan.

AUDI STAR CREATION

After the runway showdown the judges make their decision on the final 3!

The top 3 designers are Sun Yi from China, Haziq Putra from Singapore and Vu Ta Linh from Vietnam.

They were presented with their $10,000 cash prizes by
Jeff Mannering (Managing Director Of Audi Singapore) and
Benny Pua (President Of Textile And Fashion Federation)

Haziq Putra from Singapore won the Audi Young Designer Award!
With an additional $10,000 prize cash!!! Well Done SINGAPORE!
